Time Moves Fast… But Healing Is Still on Time

The older I get, the faster time seems to pass.

It feels like just yesterday we were younger, full of ideas, dreams, and things we promised ourselves we would do “one day.” But then life happened. We got busy taking care of our families. We showed up for everyone else. We handled responsibilities. We put out fires. And somewhere in the middle of all that… we forgot about ourselves.

Years go by.

Then one day we wake up and think about those things we always wanted to do. We finally have the courage to try — but now we realize we’re not that age anymore. Time passed so quickly.

Sometimes we don’t have the finances.

Sometimes we don’t have the help.

Sometimes we don’t have the same energy.

Sometimes we look in the mirror and don’t recognize the person staring back at us.

Depression may have set in.

Life may have changed us.

Our bodies may not look the way they once did.

But here’s what I’m learning: none of it is by accident.

Healing has its own timeline.

We are not that little kid anymore — even if inside we still feel like we are. Our minds might hold onto who we used to be, but life has shaped us into who we are now. And instead of fighting that, maybe we’re meant to embrace it.

Maybe this version of us deserves love the most.

We need kindness.

We need understanding.

We need to know that someone else out there feels this too.

Because you’re not the only one.

So if you’re reading this and you’ve been feeling behind, different, tired, or unsure — please know you’re not alone. There are others going through what you’re going through. There are people who understand. There are people who care.

And most importantly, you have to love yourself the way you are right now.

Not the younger version.

Not the future version.

The present version.

Because this moment — exactly as it is — is part of the plan.

And you are still worthy.
