Day Ten - From Panic to Power

The anxiety didn’t stop there.

I was raising two sons with a man who was rarely responsible, often absent, and struggling with addiction. So much of the responsibility fell on me.

I did whatever I could to make sure my boys had what they needed. I sold Avon, little trinkets, and anything else I could think of just to make extra money—for school lunches, activities, and the small things that brought them joy.

My mind was constantly racing, trying to figure out how we were going to survive. We moved again and again because there was never any real stability. I never knew what the next day would bring.

But through all the fear, uncertainty, and anxiety, my faith kept me standing.

I had two little boys depending on me, and giving up was never an option.

I may not have known where life was taking us, but I kept believing that somehow, God would lead me through it.

Those two boys were counting on me—and that gave me the strength to keep going.

I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and afraid, but I kept showing up. I kept finding ways to provide. I kept choosing hope, even when hope felt fragile.

Looking back, I realize I wasn’t just surviving those days. I was building strength, courage, and resilience—one difficult day at a time.

If you’re struggling right now, please remember this: You don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward. Sometimes, strength is simply getting up, taking the next step, and refusing to give up.
